万锦市政府将联同 Art+Public UnLtd. 合作举办9 场虚拟会议；邀请了不同艺术家及讲者，讨论各种工作模式及作案例分析，推进艺术创作及交流。

根据当前新冠肺炎疫情形势及防控需要，现对2020年3月26日外交部、国家移民管理局联合发布的《关于暂时停止持有效中国签证、居留许可外国人入境的公告》部分措施调整如下：

自2020年9月28日0时起，允许持有效中国工作类、私人事务类和团聚类居留许可的外国人入境，相关人员无需重新申办签证。如外国人持有的上述三类居留许可于2020年3月28日0时后过期，持有人在来华事由不变的情况下，可凭过期居留许可和有关材料向中国驻外使领馆申办相应签证入境。上述人员需严格遵守中方防疫管理规定。

3月26日公告其他措施继续实施。中方将在确保防疫安全前提下，逐步有序恢复中外人员往来。

In view of the current COVID-19 situation and the need of epidemic prevention and control, adjustments are now made to the Announcement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the National Immigration Administration on the Temporary Suspension of Entry by Foreign Nationals Holding Valid Chinese Visas or Residence Permits issued on 26 March 2020.

Effective from 0 a.m., 28 September 2020, foreign nationals holding valid Chinese residence permits for work, personal matters and reunion are allowed to enter China with no need for applying for new visas. If the above three categories of residence permits held by foreign nationals expired after 0 a.m., 28 March 2020, the holders may apply for relevant visas by presenting the expired residence permits and relevant materials to the Chinese embassies or consulates on the condition that the purpose of the holders’ visit to China remains unchanged. The above-mentioned personnel shall strictly abide by the Chinese regulations on epidemic prevention and control.

Other measures in the Announcement issued on March 26 will continue to be implemented. While ensuring effective epidemic control, the Chinese government will continue resuming people-to-people exchanges in a step-by-step and orderly manner.

小区街道整洁干净，我们把车停在僻静的路边，一位衣着朴素，长相憨厚的中年男子迎上前来，见我们戴着口罩，他微笑着，把伸出的手缩回来，大家都心领神会，点点头，互致问候，自我介绍后，我们得知，他就是凯莱置业有限公司（Kalexia Developments Corp.）房地产开发公司的总经理徐侃先生（Kai Xu）。

徐侃谈起买地建楼的经历，真可谓：一步一个脚印，步步艰辛，一环紧套一环，环环重要。2015年，凯莱置业有限公（Kalexia Developments Corp.）买下万锦市这块原本建有花圃商铺的地皮，决定改建为高档居民住宅区，为此，需要立项上报市府有关部门审批。历时数年，层层过关，三道审批合格得来不易，其中的艰辛困苦，难以与外人道也。一个靓盘，从策划买地开始，到跑政府审批、银行贷款、寻找本地知名设计师和承包商谈施工等工作，徐侃担负起主导作用。他自小在加拿大读书长大 ，本地的价值观和纯正的英语为他与从项目设计到施工参予建设的加拿大工程技术人员之间的沟通提供了非常有利的条件。

辛勤的付出，获得丰硕的成果，在万锦市的这个项目因为设计预算时多估了利润，公司主动为客户升级了配套装修，之后才发现利润已经很小，但为了打造公司形象，凯莱置业有限公司决定不惜让利，兑现承诺，以使客户满意。楼花开盘销售的信息一经公布，闻讯赶来的买家提前三天开始排队。很快，这块紧邻名校特鲁多中学的楼盘就被重视教育的华人以及亚裔客户抢购一空。仅仅两年时间，原价79万加币的镇屋因其独特的地理位置和便利的生活条件，很快便涨至100余万。更为独特的是这个新开发的小区内有栋万锦市一位著名教育家曾经居住过的百年老屋，属于历史文化遗产（heritage)保留房屋，按照市政府有关文物保护的政策，重新装修改建这栋独立屋时必须保留其原来三面墙的外观。这一颇具挑战性的工程正在加紧施工中。

凯莱置业有限公司（Kalexia Developments Corp.）总经理徐侃曾经有在中国参与房地产开发的多年经验，对房地产开发过程中的每一个环节都了如指掌。在加拿大的项目开发中，他严格掌控材料审批、设计理念、建筑用料和施工质量等要素。本着住宅小区时尚美观上档次的原则，徐侃不惜花费重金聘请加拿大本土顶级设计师以及施工人员。新建的房屋无论是外观造型还是内部设计装璜的理念都比较超前，特别注重舒适实用和采光视野开阔等细节，并且用料讲究，建材和电器均为高标配，色彩搭配和谐，简朴大方。尤其值得一提的是：每户均有两至三个凉台，车库在前门凉台的后下方，库外还可停放另一辆车，凉台外伸，可遮护车道的大部分空间，车停在凉台下方，即可避雨雪，又能免日晒。这些无管理费用的镇屋，设计新颖合理，连同地下室，一共三层，可供使用的面积最大超过三千英尺，最小的使用面积也将近二千英尺。

除了那座正在修葺中的独栋文化遗产保护房之外，位于万锦市的这个楼盘已全部售罄，绝大部分客户已搬入新居，客户回馈反应非常好。

跟着我们驱车来到凯莱置业有限公司（Kalexia Developments Corp.）位于富豪山庄（烈治文山市）Bayview&Elgin Mills交界处即将施工的新盘。这块占地面积十英亩的草坪被修剪得十分整齐美观，一栋别墅矗立在草坪绿树的环抱中，一条隐约可见的涓涓小溪把绿地分成两大块，这是一个小溪森林地带，这个地带建成后的楼盘必需要留有足够的自然保护区，所以紧靠小溪森林地带建成后的房屋就会拥有一个ravine lot的后院，据公司董事长徐勤先生的介绍，带ravine lot后院的房屋比之非ravine lot 后院的房屋，价差可达10万加元。这片林区中常有小鹿、灰兔和松鼠等可爱的小动物出没，目前凯莱置业有限公司（Kalexia Developments Corp.第一期工程的设计便最大限度地保留了这片区域的优势特点。小溪森林地带南边的土地准备建造四十几栋带有屋顶花园的镇屋，且已售出80%的楼花，预计今年底开工，有望明年底建成。北边的土地正在筹备规划中，是建同类型的镇屋，还是建高层公寓，公司很快会有定论，一旦定下来，开盘在即。

凯莱置业有限公司（Kalexia Developments Corp.）具有十几年的中国及加国房地产开发经验，总经理徐侃深娴地产增值之道，他说选择地块、购买理想的地理位置十分重要，当房地产业蓬勃向上发展的时候，房价增值最快，且增值幅度最大，而当房地产业走下坡路时，好的地理位置处的房价降幅最小，且降势最慢，抢购到好的地块，就要尽快抓紧规划和设计，抓紧审批，并且在尽量短的时间里完成各项审批。再者就是要抓紧施工建设，加拿大假期太多太长，多伦多冬季更长，能施工的时间只有八个月的黄金季节，各道工序前后力争无缝对接，以保证客户开开心心按时住进新家。今年七月在成功圆满完成万锦项目的交付使用后，位于富豪山庄好地段的新项目即将开始施工建设。

2020年4月23日–万锦市通过使用3D打印设备打印万锦市制造的个人防护设备（Markham Cares PPE）和其他医疗设备（如面罩组件和省耳器Ear saver）来帮助对抗COVID-19。市政工作人员也在缝制非医用口罩，目标是每周生产每种物品100件以上。

“这是万锦市创建的另一项创新计划，旨在帮助对抗COVID-19新冠肺炎疫情。万锦市最近启动了Markham Cares捐赠中心，再通过生产Markham Cares PPE，我们正在采取进一步措施来支持处于抗疫前线的医护英雄。”市长薛家平说。“我为我们团结的团队感到自豪，因为我们知道每人都可以尽自己的一份力量来有所作为。”

章钰蒙是约克大学经济系四年级学生。

章钰蒙在深圳的表哥Mike对贴心姐妹网说：“我这个妹妹虽然今年23岁了，成年了，但毕竟是一个人，一个女孩子，之前一直在父母的呵护中，这也是第一次这么长时间、这么远距离地离开家人。这么长时间没有联系上，是一个反常的状况。更何况又碰上了全球性的大疫情，除了担心她人身安危问题，也更担心她的物资供给，因为暴露在病毒肆虐的空气中的人身安全，所以形成我们双倍的焦虑。”

他说：“过去她从来没有如此长时间无法联系上的情况，所以我们非常担心。作为她的家人，她原本今年就可以毕业回国了，只有两个月的时间了，但现在这种情况，让我们格外焦虑。我们真心希望加拿大多伦多的朋友们，尤其是华人朋友们多多提供线索，多多提供帮助。”

Mike说，章钰蒙可能住在多伦多市或万锦市。她在去年10月或11月搬到一栋一对华人夫妇出租的三个卧房的房子里租住。

他说，章钰蒙在失踪前最后一次和家人联系是在3月8日，她和她母亲通了电话。

章钰蒙的母亲从信用卡的消费清单上看到，最近的两次消费，一次是14日下午在多伦多的Real Fruit Bubble Tea；另外一次是15日在万锦的CC Lemon Snack Bar 。

Mike说，章钰蒙不太发微信朋友圈，可能两、三个月才发一条。因她设置“展示最近一个月的朋友圈”，目前朋友圈看不到任何帖子。

多伦多警方23日发布公告呼吁公众帮助寻找章钰蒙。

共有大约500,000人参加了往年的活动，参与者不仅来自多伦多，还来自美国芝加哥，加拿大西部及温哥华等地。 此节日每年在不同的城市举办。第一届在多伦多举办。 年轻的华人 Philip Suos作为 Mac & Cheese  Festival 的创始人，最初只是本着对通心粉的单纯爱好，逐渐将爱好发展成热爱，最后发展成为北美的一个大型节日。据Philip Suos介绍，下一年的活动将会在大瀑布举行。

这次的活动有20多个摊位，每小时还有不同节目表演，期间穿插各类儿童游戏项目， 跳舞课程等丰富内容。不同种类的通心粉和芝士好吃又好看，不同程度丰富了顾客的视觉需求和味蕾要求。最后一天进出游客络绎不绝，各商家一边面对繁忙的生意，一边与上门的顾客们寒暄，现场充满了温馨、欢乐的氛围。

The Winter Light Exhibition, now in its third year, is curated to deliver a unique and engaging experience for visitors that showcases light exhibits created by artists from across Ontario. The first year featured 12 exhibits and the main focus was to curate the exhibition around illuminated pieces. The second year we decided to incorporate a theme of “Disruptive Engagement” and the exhibition grew to 18 pieces. Working across disciplines, he works to understand and deconstruct subliminal structures of power in architecture by engaging conversations about local histories and the built environment. Vessel. Incubator Cocoon In THOUGHT, we express the concept of a vessel that carries an idea. A cocoon, incubating the living, breathing energy of our thoughts.On the exterior, the THOUGHT is made of hundreds of translucent pingpongballs, dyed a multitude of colours. Suspended from the surrounding trees On the inside, a multitude of carefully arrayed points of light emanating movement. The light flickers and on and off at times, actively attracting attention; slowly dimming form light to dark other times, giving the sense of a breath, a life within. The colours range from white to burnt orange, varying in hue but keeping on the warmer, sunset-like side of the spectrum, gifting a warm, ember-like glow on the snowy ground and surrounding trees.The other half of the installation, is a solitary, long, wood bench directly below the cloud. Here, the audience is invited to sit and reflect. Here, the THINKER, can reflect, wonder and dream.Dream, and engage. A sensor on the bench allows the thinker to communicate with the THOUGHT. The lights bursting through cone alive as the interaction takes place. The quickening, intensity and variance of the effect, solely left to the tinker of the THINKER.

Like the familiar legend of the Loch Ness Monster, Lake Ontario holds tales of unexplained, snake-like creatures that are said to cause shipwrecks and violent wakes. Since there’s little tangible evidence of these cryptids, there’s room for imagination. I believe that like most creatures, they can form either physical or metaphysical cocoons. Not unlike the cycle of a butterfly undergoing transformation, these cocoons can act as a protected place in which internal development cannot be seen externally.

Humans create cocoons in the same way. Living with invisible chronic illness is just one instance in which our perception of another’s external appearance is far from a reflection of the work that is happening within. Through my wife, Eva, I have seen how sufferers of invisible illness are treated like cryptozoological creatures because  their truths are not easily seen or understood.

This installation stands to demonstrate that our protective shells should be celebrated for providing us room to grow without the need for meeting societal expectations or pressures; a place inside all of us where self-care and self-love can be the focus. And from within that cocoon, we can still glow.

Envelopod is made of hand-cut acrylic and copper scales. Guests are invited to reach out to the inhabitant of this cocoon by placing a hand upon a copper scale to allow the myriad of changing colours to emanate from within. Allow this installation to be a nod to those who suffer silently, the cryptids among us.

When I began to think of the curatorial theme for this year’s Ontario Place Winter Light Exhibition it didn’t make any sense to me. What does cocoon have anything to do with light, or winter? Then I realized that light had everything to do with cocoon. Light is energy. It generates life and as a form of energy it embodies a cocoon that nourishes growth and trans formation. So I designed an installation with light as the central medium. In GENESIS, the beams of light are all directed to the centre of sculpture, and even though the beams will have visible trajectory, light will still pass through the centre. It will only be when someone stands within the sculpture to capture the beams of light that the true form of the sculpture takes shape. Standing at the centre of GENESIS people are given a moment to experience being saturated in light. Every movement they make will be deflected by the beams creating a dynamism between the person(s) and the light of the piece. The focus of light to a single point has many cultural, scientific and religious references. What they all have in common is the notion that the concentration of light creates a focus of thought, a form of incubation, a point of transformation, a genesis. So I welcome everyone to pose within GENESIS to become the focal point of light and energy.

Karygiannis Hosts Mayor and Members of Council at a “ Solidarity Dinner”.

TORONTO-This evening. Jim Karygiannis, Councillor for Ward 22, Scarborough-Agincourt hosted Mayor John Tory and other members of City Council at a dinner to show their support of the Chinese-Canadian community at a time when the community is facing stigmatization.

“The attitude of intolerance, which has raised its ugly head in recent days, has no place in Canada. “said Mr Karygiannis.”As Canadians, we pull together and support one another in the “Solidarity Dinner”was organized in response to a number of actions taken by members of the public over the last few days.

My job as Mayor, today and every day is to support all of our residents and stand behind them when they need it. Recently, members of our Chinese community and Chinese owned businesses have asked for our help and support as they face challenges due to

misinformation and anxiety around the Coronavirus. Tonight’s event is one way in which I can demonstrate my support for our Chinese-Canadian community and their businesses which play a vital role in our city.

I encourage all residents to listen to our health professionals who continue to advise us that the risk of Coronavirus is very low and that residents should go about their daily routines while taking customary preventative measures to stay healthy, “said Mayor John Tory

More than a hundred people joined the City politicians for dinner at the Royal Fine Dining Banquet in Scarborough.

“With this dinner, I am hoping to encourage Torontonians to continue to support the Chinese-Canadian business community. I urge all Canadians to continue to go about living their lives as usual. “Mr. Karygiannis stated. “If you take the Public Health precautions, the risk of getting ill is very low.”

WHO’s recommendations for the general public to reduce exposure to and transmission are as follows:

Frequently clean hands by using alcohol-based hand rub or soap and water

When coughing and sneezing cover mouth and nose with flexed elbow or tissue,throwtissue away immediately and wash hands

Avoid close contact with anyone who has fever and cough

If you have fever, cough and difficulty breathing seek medical care early and share

previous travel history with your health care provider.
